Claverley Clubs and Societies

Claverley Cricket Club
Founded in 1932, Claverley Cricket Club has been part of village life for generations. Set in the heart of the Shropshire countryside, the club offers a warm welcome to players of all ages and abilities, with teams competing in the Worcestershire County League alongside regular friendly and midweek matches.
More than just a place to play, the club is a true community hub, hosting fixtures, social events, and family days throughout the summer. New members and supporters are always welcome — whether on the field, behind the scenes, or cheering from the sidelines.

Claverley In Bloom
Founded in 2005, Claverley in Bloom is a volunteer-led group dedicated to brightening our village with beautiful planting and wildlife-friendly spaces. From colourful tubs and hanging baskets to tree planting and pollinator projects, their work brings colour and life to Claverley all year round.
Working with local groups and schools, they also represent the village in regional “In Bloom” competitions, showcasing our community spirit on a wider stage. Everyone is welcome to get involved — whether planting, supporting events, or simply enjoying the blooms that make Claverley special.

Claverley Tennis Club
Founded in 1924, Claverley Tennis Club has been at the heart of our village for over a century. Set in the picturesque Shropshire countryside, we offer two upgraded astroturf courts with LED lighting, included in membership.
With coaching for all ages, league matches, sociable club nights, free floodlit play, and regular events, there’s something for everyone. Join one of Shropshire’s friendliest tennis clubs and be part of a welcoming community.

Friends of Claverley Church
Friends of Claverley Church (FOCC) was formed to assist the PCC in the upkeep, repair and refurbishment of our ancient church, founded over 1,000 years ago, an ancient world-renowned monument, known for its 13th century wall paintings amongst other treasures, and receives visitors from all over the world.
FOCC have already raised considerable amounts of money, from which we have funded repairs to the Lychgate and Church clock. However, further substantial sums will be required, for which plans are being prepared for essential work to be quoted for and carried out.
The upkeep of the fabric of the church building is solely the responsibility of the Parochial Church Council. FOCC exists to help with this huge task. FOCC are all members of the village, and the Church belongs to us all - so hopefully we will be able to act together to make the Church once more a place not just for worship, christenings, weddings and funerals but for meetings, concerts, exhibitions, drop-in cafe, library etc, together with the Village Hall.

Infinity Golf Studio
Shropshire's latest indoor golf simulator entertainment venue, offering 2 full size Golf Simulators equipped with overhead launch monitors and high spec 4k projectors to offer crystal clear images and instant shot reaction.
We have 1000 courses from around the world, a virtual driving range, fully licensed bar and pizza menu.

Knit & Knatter
We meet every Tuesday afternoon from 2 to 4 pm in the hall, taking breaks over Christmas, Easter, and other holidays. Bring along your knitting, embroidery, or simply come as you are for a friendly chat over a cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit.
We’re not really a “craft” club, it’s more of a relaxed social afternoon for company and conversation. Just drop in and see what you think, all for the price of a cup of tea!

Table Tennis
Come and join our relaxed table tennis sessions – perfect for all ages and abilities! Whether you’re picking up a bat for the first time or just enjoy a casual game, everyone is welcome. We play for fun, not competition, so it’s a great way to meet new people, get active, and enjoy a friendly atmosphere.
